AGE GROUPS

LITTLE CHOMPERS (12 MO)

At this age, the main focus is on introducing dental care and establishing healthy habits. Parents should be aware of teething discomfort and look for any white spots or discoloration on their child’s teeth. Services for this age group include a first dental visit to familiarize the child with the dentist and provide guidance on teething and oral hygiene practices for parents.

TINY TOOTH TITANS (18MO - 35MO)

The primary focus for this age group is preventing early childhood cavities and establishing a routine for brushing. Parents should monitor tooth eruption patterns and watch for early signs of decay, such as brown spots. Regular dental check-ups and fluoride varnish applications are recommended services to ensure healthy teeth development.

MINI MOLAR MASTER (3 YRS-4 YRS)

For children aged 3 to 4 years, the emphasis is on reinforcing good brushing habits and monitoring tooth development. It’s important to observe proper alignment of teeth and any signs of thumb-sucking impact. Regular cleanings, exams, and early orthodontic evaluations are essential services to maintain oral health.

SUPER SMILERS (5 YRS)

At age 5, maintaining cavity-free teeth and encouraging independence in oral care are key. Parents should look for loose teeth as their child prepares for the first tooth loss and monitor for plaque buildup. Dental sealants and instruction on flossing techniques are valuable services to consider.

KINDERGARTEN KEEPERS (K-1 GRADE)

For kindergarten and first-grade children, educating on the importance of dental health and tracking the transition to permanent teeth are vital. Signs to look for include correct brushing and flossing techniques and early orthodontic issues. Services such as space maintainers and protective sealants can help maintain oral health during this transitional phase.

SMILE SQUAD (2ND GRADE)

In second grade, the focus is on fostering continued good oral hygiene and monitoring the growth of permanent teeth. Parents should watch for early signs of misalignment or bite issues and the continued loss of baby teeth. Regular cleanings, fluoride treatments, and orthodontic consultations are recommended services.

SPARKLE SQUAD (3RD GRADE)

For third graders, strengthening independent oral care routines and ensuring the healthy growth of permanent teeth are crucial. It’s important to observe proper brushing and flossing habits, as well as the alignment and spacing of teeth. Orthodontic evaluations and preventive care like sealants are beneficial services at this stage.

MOLAR MARVELS (4TH-5TH GRADE)

In fourth and fifth grade, preventing cavities and maintaining oral health are the main focuses. Parents should look for signs of gum disease, such as swollen or bleeding gums, and ensure proper cleaning of back molars. Comprehensive dental exams, preventive treatments, and early orthodontic assessments are essential services for this age group.

MOLAR GUARDIANS (6TH-8TH GRADE)

During middle school, encouraging responsibility for oral health and addressing orthodontic needs become paramount. Parents should be aware of wisdom teeth development and proper oral hygiene practices. Orthodontic treatments, such as braces or aligners, along with regular dental check-ups and cleanings, are important services to consider for maintaining a healthy smile.
